About Our Project...
After being lucky enough to have been born in the United States where we and our families have had access to loans and credit to help go to school, drive cars, and pay rent or buy houses, we decided we should return the favor by designating our wedding a fundraiser and creating a fund to loan to people who live where low-interest loans are not normally available. We use Kiva.org to find entrepreneurs to loan to. We're starting with $3600 we raised at our wedding, and we'll continue to add to this fund a bit here and there, as well as of course re-loaning money as it's paid back to us. We created this blog to keep track of who we've loaned to, what they're doing with the money, and when they repay it (so that we may re-lend it.) Enjoy!

A note on loan amounts...
Sometimes you'll notice our contribution amount is only $50 or $75 when the requested loan amount is far more. This is because fortunately, loans get funded rather quickly on Kiva, meaning you rarely find anyone who still needs $500 or more to fulfill their loan request! We've also decided to try to spread the love and not loan out more than $300 to a single person.
